Of course, most all of us know of someone whose cat or dog answers the phone. They couldn't hang it up until now. Some pets will take naturally, but most will require training for them to use. For example, they could be trained to get on the pet phone by command, then the command is given when the phone rings until they connect the ring with hearing your voice on the phone. A friend could help with this. Then you can call when you are away during the day. Naturally if your pet chews wires, then they should be broken of that before use or the wires should be housed where they can not reach them. A speaker phone will soon be available.
